The Competitive Funding for Water Research (CWR) is a funding scheme that funds basic/applied R&D projects that possess potential in developing innovative and novel solutions for the water industry. It is part of Singapore's Research, Innovation, and Enterprise (RIE) Plan under the Urban Solutions & Sustainability (USS) domain.

Encourages organisations to reduce waste disposed of at NEA’s incinceration plants and disposal facilities through the implementation of waste minimisation and recycling projects.

PACT Programme

The PACT Programme encourages mutually beneficial collaborations between companies. Driven by a lead enterprise, the nature of collaboration should go beyond regular business activities to help companies build capabilities, innovate and pursue new business opportunities in local and overseas markets. The programme funds up to 70% of qualifying costs.

Industrial Water Solutions Demonstration Fund (IWSDF)

The Industrial Water Solutions Demonstration Fund (IWSDF) supports high-impact and innovative projects to treat and reclaim fresh water from industrial used water for process reuse. Companies with monthly water consumption of more than 10,000m3 are invited to submit proposals for projects that yield at least 5% reduction in water consumption through reuse.

Open Innovation Network (OIN)

The Open Innovation Network (OIN) is a joint initiative by Enterprise Singapore (ESG) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to provide a single gateway to the open innovation ecosystem in Singapore. The platform aggregates all ongoing and past innovation challenges. Innovators, startups or enterprises can use the OIN to search for relevant challenges to join, and seek out co-development and test-bedding opportunities with local and global companies.

Jurong Island Innovation Challenge

Enterprise Singapore (ESG) and JTC Corporation (JTC) are jointly organising an innovation challenge for sustainability and circular economy solutions for Jurong Island (JI). This innovation call is a follow-up to the Jurong Island Circular Economy Study.

WTE Research Facility (WTERF)

The WTERF co-funded by NEA and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) takes all the municipal solid waste from NTU as its feedstock, and using high-temperature slagging gasification technology provides a “plug-and-play” platform to enable research translation, test-bedding and demonstration projects to be undertaken by the industry and research community.

Through the Technology for Enterprise Capability Upgrading (T-UP) initiative, businesses can engage A*STAR Research Scientists and Engineers from Research Institutes (RIs) to help identify and execute suitable R&D or innovation projects to upgrade your operations for a period of up to two years. Internationalization Support

Global Innovation Alliance (GIA)

The Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) is a network of Singapore and overseas partners in major innovation hubs and key demand markets, with a focus on technology and innovation.  

It is a joint initiative between Enterprise Singapore (ESG) and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).

Both agencies work with in-market players across the various  GIA cities to run both inbound and outbound acceleration Programmes to connect companies to overseas business and tech communities. The programmes support:

Singapore startups and SMEs in venturing abroad; and International startups in scaling up in Asia through Singapore as a springboard
