To ask the Minister for National Development (a) what is the current number of public playgrounds in Singapore; (b) what is the breakdown of these playgrounds that have (i) swings and (ii) sand play areas; and (c) how these respective figures compare to those from 10 years ago.

Answer:

There are currently around 2,800 public playgrounds implemented by HDB and NParks in HDB estates and parks. The number of playgrounds has increased over the years.
