Minister Lawrence Wong to visit Hong Kong from 13 to 18 May 2019

Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for National Development and Second Minister for Finance, will visit Hong Kong from 13 to 18 May 2019.

Mr Wong will be visiting Hong Kong at the invitation of the Hong Kong Government under the Sponsored Visitors Programme (SVP), to better understand the developments in the city. Mr Wong will call on Mrs Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, and meet with key Hong Kong Government officials to exchange ideas on a range of topics including urban planning, housing, finance and innovation. Mr Wong will also visit various districts and projects in Hong Kong.

During the trip, Mr Wong will share Singapore’s urbanisation story with government and business leaders in Hong Kong, at a “Global Perspectives” seminar organised by Our Hong Kong Foundation, as well as meet overseas Singaporeans based in Hong Kong.

Mr Wong will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of National Development and the Urban Redevelopment Authority.
