Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA)

The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore ensures a resilient supply of safe food, ensures animal welfare, safeguards the health of animals and plants, and facilitates agri-trade for Singapore.

Building and Construction Authority (BCA)

The Building and Construction Authority champions the development of a future-ready built environment that is safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly. We envision the construction sector to be an advanced and integrated sector, with widespread adoption of leading technologies, led by progressive and collaborative firms, offering good jobs for Singaporeans. “Built environment” refers to buildings, structures and infrastructure in our surroundings that provide the setting for the community’s activities.

Council for Estate Agencies (CEA)

The Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) regulates and promotes the development of a professional and trusted real estate agency industry. The key responsibilities of the CEA are to license property agencies and register property agents, promote the integrity and competence of property agencies and property agents, and equip consumers with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions when engaging property agents to facilitate property transactions.

The Housing & Development Board provides affordable homes of quality and value. It creates vibrant and sustainable towns, and promotes the building of active and cohesive communities. Through its renewal and upgrading programmes, it also brings new features, facilities and improvements to its older estates and towns to ensure their vibrancy and continued relevance.

Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA)

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) is Singapore's land use planning and conservation agency. Its mission is "to make Singapore a great city to live, work and play". It strives to create an endearing home and a vibrant and sustainable future city through far-sighted planning and innovation, in partnership with the community. 

URA’s multi-faceted role includes being the main government land sales agent. Through the sale of State land, it attracts and channels private capital investment to develop sites to support economic and social development. It also partners the community to enliven our public spaces to create a car-lite, people-friendly and liveable city for all to enjoy. In shaping a distinctive city, URA also promotes architecture and urban design excellence.

The Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city is the second Government-to-Government project between Singapore and China. The project provides a platform for our countries to explore new collaborations and ideas, and share best practices in sustainable urbanisation.

Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC)

Set up in 2008 by the Ministry of National Development and the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, the Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) has as its mission “to distil, create and share knowledge on liveable and sustainable cities”. CLC’s work spans four main areas – Research, Capability Development, Advisory Services and Knowledge Platforms. Through these activities, CLC hopes to provide urban leaders and practitioners with the knowledge and support needed to make our cities better.

The Board of Architects is the statutory authority established to administer the Architects Act in Singapore. The Architects Act of 1991 sets out provisions to provide for the registration of architects, the regulation of architectural qualifications, the practice of architecture by registered individuals and the supply of architectural services by corporations.

The Professional Engineers Board safeguards life, property, and welfare of the public, by setting and maintaining high standards for registering professional engineers, and by regulating and advancing the practice of professional engineering.

Strata Titles Board (STB)

The Strata Titles Board is a body constituted under Part VI of the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act to hear applications: (a) for orders for collective sales under Part VA of the Land Titles (Strata) Act; and (b) relating to certain types of disputes or matters arising in respect of the strata units or the strata development including the common property.
