Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA)
The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority provides agricultural, fishery, animal and plant health, veterinary public health, and food safety services to ensure a stable supply of safe, wholesome and quality meat, fish, vegetables and processed food, to safeguard the health of animals, fish, plants and people, to develop tropical agrotechnology and to support agro-industry and trade in primary produce and processed food.
Building and Construction Authority (BCA)
The Building and Construction Authority shapes a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment. championing the development of an excellent built environment for Singapore. “Built environment” refers to buildings, structures and infrastructure in our surroundings that provide the setting for the community’s activities.
Housing & Development Board (HDB)
The Housing & Development Board provides affordable homes of quality and value. It creates vibrant and sustainable towns, and promotes the building of active and cohesive communities.
National Parks Board (NParks)
The National Parks Board plans, develops and manages parks and greenery in Singapore.
Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA)
The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) is Singapore's national land use planning authority. URA prepares long term strategic plans, as well as detailed local area plans, for physical development, and then co-ordinates and guides efforts to bring these plans to reality. Prudent land use planning has enabled Singapore to enjoy strong economic growth and social cohesion, and ensures that sufficient land is safeguarded to support continued economic progress and future development.
Board of Architects (BOA)
The Board of Architects is the statutory authority established to administer the Architects Act in Singapore. The Architects Act 1991 sets out provisions to provide for the registration of architects, the regulation of architectural qualifications, the practice of architecture by registered individuals and the supply of architectural services by corporations.
Professional Engineers Board
The Professional Engineers Board safeguards life, property, and welfare of the public, by setting and maintaining high standards for registering professional engineers, and by regulating and advancing the practice of professional engineering.
Strata Titles Board
The Strata Titles Board is a body constituted under Part VI of the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act to hear applications:
(a) for orders for collective sales under Part VA of the Land Titles (Strata) Act; and
(b) relating to certain types of disputes or matters arising in respect of the strata units or the strata development including the common property.
Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City
In November 2007, Singapore and China signed an agreement to build a 30 square km Eco-city in Tianjin, northern China. The proposal was mooted by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong in April 2007.
Centre of Liveable Cities
The Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) brings together Singapore's expertise on sustainable urban development across public and private sectors. It aims to distil and develop Singapore's experience in good governance, integrated urban planning, effective resource management, affordable quality housing, efficient transport management and environmental sustainability.
World Cities Summit
The biennial World Cities Summit, which was inaugurated in 2008, brings together policymakers and practitioners with leading experts in their fields to identify innovative solutions to the most pressing challenges facing cities today and tomorrow. This premier international event focuses on issues of leadership and governance, the building of sustainable and eco-friendly cities, and the fostering of cohesive and harmonious communities.
East Asia Summit Conference on
Liveable Cities
Singapore organised the inaugural East Asia Summit Conference on Liveable Cities (EAS LCC) in Singapore between 23 and 25 June 2008. A two-day international conference series was held to discuss issues such as public governance, urbanisation, climate change, and the environment.

The Singapore Statutes Online is a legal research tool which offers access to the full text of all current Acts of Singapore. Updated on a monthly basis, the service is brought to you by the Attorney-General's Chambers and the Ministry of Finance.

eCitizen
Launched in 1999, the eCitizen portal is positioned as the first-stop for government services on the web and organised with the needs of the citizens and customers in mind. The end goal is to build a leading e-Government, which delivers more convenience and benefits to all individuals who live, work and play in Singapore.
REACH
REACH is set up in October 2006 as part of the restructuring plans for the Feedback Unit to move beyond gathering public feedback, and to become the lead agency for engaging and connecting with citizens.
