This session will see interesting discussions into the urban sustainability challenges that Singapore faces and the Government’s perspective on the crucial role of R&D.

High-level representatives have been invited from the key government agencies involved in shaping our built environment, to share on Singapore’s short -term development directions and our anticipated needs.

Each speaker will lay out the sustainability objectives that Singapore hopes to meet in five areas of Sustainable Urban Living, Urban Mobility, Green Building, Urban Ecology and Food. The speakers will also highlight the Government’s perspective on the specific role of R&D in helping policy makers meet these objectives.

A presentation providing an overview of the strategic intent, funding opportunities and processes for R&D in Singapore will then set the stage for a lively Q&A session when the audience will get an opportunity to engage with our speakers for their invaluable insights.
