SENIOR MINISTER OF STATE FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION
TO CO-CHAIR THE 3rd SINO-SINGAPORE TIANJIN ECO-CITY JOINT WORKING COMMITTEE MEETING

1       Ms Grace Fu, Senior Minister of State for National Development and Education, will be leading a delegation on a working visit to the People's Republic of China (PRC) from 30 June to 2 July 2008.

2       She will be co-chairing the 3rd meeting of the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Joint Working Committee (JWC) with Vice-Minister Qiu Baoxing of the PRC Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on 1 July 08. During the meeting, the JWC will discuss proposed changes to the Master Plan of the Eco-city following a public consultation exercise in China. The meeting will also be discussing the preliminary detailed plans of the Start-up Area.

3       SMS Fu will be accompanied by officials from Ministry of National Development, and other Ministries and agencies involved in the Eco-city project.
