MINISTER MAH BOW TAN ON OFFICIAL TRIP TO MIDDLE EAST, 2 – 8 DECEMBER 2005

Mr Mah Bow Tan, Minister for National Development, will be visiting Qatar at the invitation of the Heir Apparent of Qatar, HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, from 2-5 December.

2 From Qatar, Minister Mah will visit Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to study key developments in the Gulf state.

3 While in Qatar and UAE, Minister Mah will meet key Govt officials and private sector leaders. Minister Mah will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of National Development, Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), National Parks Board (NParks) and Singapore Garden City Company.

4 Minister Mah’s visit to the Middle East will further strengthen the cooperation between Singapore and the region as well as open up more business opportunities for Singapore companies.
