Dear Readers,

We’re delighted to bring you a new and expanded MND Link! First, you can now share your favourite articles with friends via social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Next, we’ve introduced a “Guestbook” section, where we showcase some of the distinguished international guests who have visited the MND family of agencies.

This month, we also send our warmest congratulations to HDB on its 50th year of successfully housing the nation. In addition, nature lovers out there will be glad to know that 2010 has been designated the Year of International Biodiversity. Do look forward to the various special programmes planned by NParks.

Many of us love to stroll down memory lane, and it is heartwarming to know that the URA Architectural Awards celebrate those old but renewed buildings, which are rich in cultural and social heritage, and which continue to serve as icons for future generations.

In our increasingly globalised world, it is important that we engage international partners closely. In turn, many around the world are keen to learn from Singapore. Read about how MND agencies share their expertise with counterparts and agencies from all over the world.
