11 Nov 2009 HDB Annual Quality Awards

The HDB Quality Award, HDB Design Award and HDB Construction Safety Award aim to encourage and spur HDB’s business partners who have delivered outstanding performances to continue raising their performance standards.  On this day, Guest-of-Honour Minister for National Development Mah Bow Tan will present the awards to the winners and finalists of the Punggol Waterfront Housing Design Competition.

29 Nov 2009 Responsible Pet Ownership Roadshow Finale

AVA has organised annual roadshows as part of public education efforts to promote responsible pet ownership.  The theme for this year's series of Roadshows, “Be a Considerate Pet Owner”, emphasises the fact that responsible pet ownership is more than just caring for the pet and providing it with food and shelter.  Responsible pet ownership also entails being considerate towards those who do not own pets or are afraid of animals.

10 to 13 Dec 2009 Green Building Public Exhibition

The BCA Green Buildings Roving Exhibition will kick off at City Square Mall from 10 to 13 Dec 2009.  The exhibition highlights key developments in Singapore's green building movement.  A mock up Green Home will be the key focus, showcasing existing and future green technologies in a home environment.  It will also allow the public, in particular parents and working professionals, to learn more about BCA.

Themed “Build Green. The Future is Now.” and held alongside Singapore Green Building Week on 26 to 30 October 2009, the International Green Building Conference 2009 focused on relevant issues concerning the industry, with an emphasis on green building technologies and green building designs.  IGBC 2009 was the anchor event of the Singapore Green Building Week.

My Neighbourhood Renewal, by HDB
Residents in 13 more estates will have a big say in the $86 million facelift to spruce up facilities in their neighbourhoods.  The residents of Tampines Neighbourhood 9 came out in full force to participate in the public consultation exercise for the largest neighbourhood renewal involving 38 blocks.

MND Investiture Ceremony, by MND
The MND Investiture Ceremony, to be held on 18 November 2009, honours public service officers for their outstanding performance and dedication.  On this day, recipients will be presented with the National Day Awards by Minister for National Development Mah Bow Tan.
