Editor's Note

Moving fast yet staying grounded - that probably sums up what Singapore is going through right now. In this issue, MND Link takes you through the launch of the landmark Sustainable Singapore blueprint, which demonstrates how the Government will ensure that the Singapore of tomorrow is not only lively and vibrant, but also remains an eminently liveable place for us to call home.

The celebratory mood is in the air. First, we mark the Singapore Botanic Gardens’ 150th Anniversary and its contributions to the country’s greening efforts. Hear from Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew himself, who shared his insights on creating a distinctive and green Singapore. Next, we congratulate the seven MND Family members who were presented with the PS21 Star Service Awards earlier for their exemplary service standards.

Finally, check out the recently opened integrated lifestyle hub, which comprises Anchorvale Community Centre and the Sengkang Sports and Recreation Centre. Its user-friendly design won it the only Gold in BCA’s Universal Design Award for the Built Environment. Also, HDB lets us in on the upcoming changes to season parking payment methods, and how they strove towards streamlining existing rules to provide better public service.

We hope you’ll have a good read with this latest issue of MND Link. Enjoy!
