The past two months witnessed much celebration across the MND family of agencies. For a start, fans of nature would have enjoyed a delightful time in July, as the magnificent Singapore Garden Festival charmed visitors with a variety of gardening fantasies and mystical horticultural creations. Recognising the need to tap on fresh minds and young hearts as we continue building Singapore into an endearing home and liveable city for everyone, MND also welcomed a select group of young talents at the MND Joint Scholarship Ceremony that same month.
In August, staff from the MND family gathered again to celebrate Singapore’s National Day. From the minister to the rank and file officer, all who were present at the MND National Day Observance Ceremony reflected on how far this country had come over forty-five years of independence, and on MND’s role in Singapore’s spectacular transformation.
Once again, the Pinnacle@Duxton found itself in the limelight on the world stage, as it clinched an international “Best Tall Building” award. Read on and learn more about this most iconic of public housing projects.
