When his former student, who graduated from the BCA Academy and moved on to study Civil Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University, approached the Academy for academic assistance, Mr Rahman readily stepped forward to help. The student had done badly in the semester and received an academic warning.
For two semesters, whenever the student approached him, or sent him an email or SMS with questions on his academic work, Mr Rahman would quickly attend to his queries. Once, he even spent an entire afternoon at the NTU library coaching the student. Thanks to his commitment and help, the student, who did badly in the first semester, scored better grades in the second semester.
