Ms Wong went to a 92-year-old lady’s help when the lady's kitchen was badly damaged due to nearby construction work and the builder ignored her pleas for help. Ms Wong headed down to the site to investigate the cause of the damage to the kitchen structure. She subsequently instructed the builder to barricade and prop up the affected area. Besides that, Ms Wong also spent hours at the lady’s residence, calming her down and explaining the situation to her.
The builder later alleged that the elderly lady’s kitchen structure was unauthorised, while the lady insisted that it had been previously approved. As the lady’s eyesight was failing, Ms Wong went the extra mile to help her retrieve her old plans, and the builder subsequently accepted responsibility and agreed to repair the damages. The lady then called Ms Wong for advice on the timing of the repair works, and Ms Wong patiently explained the situation and helped her come to a decision. For Ms Wong’s hard work, the elderly lady was so thankful she sent Ms Wong a hand-written Thank-You card.
