Mrs Lakshmi was unfazed when an irate dog licensee called AVA’s office and the call was transferred to her. The caller, unsatisfied with the reply given by a junior officer who had spoken to her earlier, wanted the officer to send her a renewal notice for her to renew her expired licence. She would not listen to the officer’s explanation that the licence could not be renewed as it had already lapsed. When Mrs Lakshmi picked up the call, she clearly explained the new regulations, and how the caller could license her dog by sending in a cheque for the required payment for a dog licence as well as the composition for keeping a dog without a valid licence. The caller was thankful to Ms Lakshmi for clarifying her doubts and readily made payment.
