Carpark Lift Installation Programme |
All HDB Multi-Storey Car Parks (MSCPs) will be installed with lifts by 2017. This will bring about more convenience for the residents and visitors, particularly families with young children and the elderly.
This programme, costing $120 million, is fully funded by the Government and will cover some 540 of the 740 HDB MSCPs which are not fitted with lifts.

Will this programme cover all MSCPs?
All new HDB MSCPs built from 2007 have lifts installed. The programme will apply to the remaining MSCPs where lift installations are feasible.
Will the MSCPs be prioritised over the five years? How are these MSCPs selected?
Priority will be given to MSCPs with high parking demand and with impending improvement works in the precinct. HDB will time the works to minimise inconvenience to the residents.
Do I have to pay more for parking charges after the works are completed?
Parking charges will not increase after the installation works are completed. The programme is fully funded by the Government and is meant to make HDB estates more accessible to all residents and visitors.
